The journey to England

On October 2012 the class 9a drove to the exchange students to England. They all were happy to meet their exchange students and their family. After the departure the teacher assigned the students to the right families. Archie Andrews lived at Jughead Jones´s house, Betty Coop at Madge Clump´s house, Veronica Lodge at Nancy Woods´s house, Moose Mason at Reggie Mantle´s house and Chuck Clayton with his dog called “ Hot Dog “ at Dilton Dooley´s house.

When they arrived in England they all met at the Jack Jonson School. After the greeting they went to the families of the exchange students. Most of the families ate fish and chips for dinner.

On the next day they drove to the coast. Afterwards they went to the town and walked through the shops and bought ice cream. The time went by quickly and at lunch they went to McDonalds to buy

a meal. Then they made a trip to the Natural History Museum.

On the next day they drove to London. They visited the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the Thames, St. Paul´s Cathedral, Hyde Park, Tower Bridge and the Olympic Stadium.

One day later was the family day and many families went to the swimming pool or played Mini-Golf. In the evening the families met each other for a big bowling match with their guests from Germany and the teachers. Every family had one alley for playing. During the match there was very modern music. When they got hungry they all went to the bowling restaurant and ate lettuce with tomatoes, cheese, bacon, gherkin, mushrooms radish and a dressing.

After the last bowling round the winner was Veronica Lodge with her guest family. This night they all slept quickly.

In the morning after breakfast all German and English students met at 9 o`clock with their teachers at “Jack Jonson School “. A big red bus drove them from school to “Victoria Zoo “. After they arrived at the zoo the sun shone very warm for an autumn day. On their way to the ibex enclosure they had to go up the steep steps. The huge rocks were build like the real mountains. The ibex jumped from rock to rock.

The students went on in small groups and came to the lions. A male lion, three female lions and two lion babies were in the enclosure. After that they visited some more animals.

On the next day they said goodbye to their English students and drove home with the thought to come back next year.

Hot Dog’s Adventure

On a very nice Saturday Morning in July .In a suburb of New York, the dad Moose goes with his five years old son Dennis, his dog Hot Dog and his wife Nancy to the playground .The weather was wonderful. The sun was shining and the sky was light blue. The birds were twitter. Therefore, many, many children were there. They were playing on the swing and on the slide. The parents were executing Hot Dog and talked with other parents. Then Dennis saw a very colorful and nice butterfly and wanted him.  He ran after him to catch him. As his parents would be to look at Dennis, he was missing.

He follows the butterfly   through a forest, across a creek and over the field. Now he looked around and don’t know the Area. He had lost the way and was worry. With panic, he walked in an other direction and fell in a deep and dark hole. He is crying because he does not know how he can go out. He was skinned on his leg. Meanwhile ,the parents  went to the seeking , but they couldn’t find him. Dennis cried loud, HEEELLLPPPP” But nobody hears him. After they are back from seek. Hot dog followed his tracks. After a while, he heard his voice near a little Forrest. He runs as fast as he can to this place. Hot dog   barked loud but he could not help him, because the hole was too deep. Dennis knew to be helped. Now Hot Dog runs back to the playground where the parents are waiting. He nudged the dad and asked him to come alone. All the three run fast to the boy. His mother was happy that he was ok .His dad go in the forest and searched a long branch. Then he gave him the end of the branch. Dennis clung to it and his parents pulled him out. While he nearly broke. Everyone was happy that they were together again. After a while, Dennis says he has a bad pain in his leg.  The parents made their big worry and went to the hospital to control Dennis’s legs. After X-raying, the doc says it is not broken but a little cheated. He has to wear one week an Association. Back At home, the dog became a huge Bone for his amazing help. One Day later his parents have been invited to a big ice cream sundae. Hot dog loves strawberries and got a piece of ice too.  From that they he  was not longer his Hot Dog but Super Dog. Because one of the other parents was an reporter of a newspaper, on the next day the adventure stays in the newspaper .

Our story

It was a very sunny day. Nancy is at the school. She got her books for the next lesson from her locker. In this time, Chuck the baseball boy went the hall down. Nancy turned and dropped her books. Chuck saw Nancy and he went to her. He bended down and he take her books. At this moment, each other saw in the eyes. Love at the first sight. One week later Nancy and Chuck are together. They walked down the street. "I will go to H&M! Please!"Said Nancy. "Ok, let’s go! “Said Chuck. One hour later Nancy and Chuck went out from H&M. Chuck must take the bags."Oh! Saw! This is a very sweet dog! “Said Nancy. The dog ate Hot Dog. Can we keep this dog?" ask Nancy. "No! The dog had an owner!"Said Chuck. Nancy and Chuck take the dog and go to the police. At the police, they ask the police if a person look for this dog. "No! The dog is not lost," said the police."Ok! Can we keep this dog? „Asked Nancy. “Yes! It`s Ok" said the police. Nancy and Chuck take the dog with home. "So, now you had a home!" said Nancy."What`s the name of the dog?" ask Chuck." Hot dog!" said Nancy."Yeah! That`s a really funny name!" said Chuck."Won`t we made a party for the dog?" ask Nancy."OK!" Chuck said. Chuck and Nancy phoned all their friends to came to the party. The friends to agree and came to the party. The people pet Hot dog and he was happy. The people amused themselves well. When the party ended, Nancy and Chuck are very happy about the good party. Nancy asked, “Our friends are very happy about the party. We are really good at throwing parties, or?" "Yes“said Chuck. One week later Chuck and Nancy went with Hot dog to a field. Nancy had a Frisbee in her jacket. She raises the Frisbee and Hot dog running it after. One hour later came a woman with her dog to them. They talk together about dogs. Hot dog and the other dog play together Frisbee. After that, they all walk home. Nancy filled Hot dog`s feed bowl. Hot dog went to it and ate. Chuck makes for Nancy and for him a coffee. When all were finished, they go to bed and sleep. On the next day Chuck and Nancy to go shopping in the supermarket. Nancy said, "We need milk, butter, cheese, eggs and flour!" "Ok said Chuck. After the shopping tour, Nancy and Chuck went with Hot dog to the park. Hot dog saw another dog and played with him up to the evening.

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square, at the heart of London, is one of the city’s most interesting places of London .By 15 million visitors in the year Trafalgar Square lies in fourth place of the mostly frequented tourist attractions of the world. The place was also noted for its many pigeons until the number was reduced strongly by feeding bans succeeded strictly as of the year 2000. Festivals of different kind frequently also take place on the Trafalgar Square. These are e.g. the London film festival, art or also comedy festivals. 

In the middle of the square stands a monument of  Admiral Lord Nelson which is put there in appreciation of the victory of the Englishmen over the French and Spaniards who had formed an alliance in the battle of Trafalgar.

Tower Bridge

Welcome to the Tower Bridge!            

Plans for the Tower Bridge were devised around 1876 when the east of London became extremely crowded and a bridge across the Thames in that area of the city seemed a necessity. It would take another eight years - and lots of discussions about the design - before construction of the bridge started.
Five contractors and nearly 450 workers were involved in the construction of the 265 meter long bridge. It took 11,000 tons of steel to build the framework. At the time many people disliked its Victorian Gothic design, but over time the bridge became one of London's most famous symbols. The total length of the Tower Bridge is 244 meters. 

The longest span is 61 meters. The Tower Bridge was opened on June 30^th 1894.

Taking photographs of the Tower Bridge is a favorite London tourist activity, but you can also go inside the bridge, where you'll have a magnificent view over London from the walkway between the two bridge towers.
